Nextier Solutions Releases EZ-Suite 3.4
Memphis, Tenn. -- January 27, 2004 -- Nextier Solutions Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of
International Paper (NYSE: IP), today announced the release of EZ-Suite 3.4,
focusing on supporting the magazine, catalog, print publication and related
paper businesses in further streamlining their paper management supply chain.
EZ-Suite is a Web-based collaborative production planning, procurement and inventory
management system comprised of three core applications: EZ-Control, EZ-Supplier
and EZ-Printer. Each of these components is an essential element in providing
trading partners the functionality necessary to communicate efficiently, share
timely information and reduce operating costs.
As with all previous releases, Nextier worked closely with
customers to understand their needs and develop features that would help them
manage their business more efficiently. “Every feature we develop is driven by

The EZ-Suite 3.4 release includes new data elements that enhance the timely
transmission of information between trading partners. It provides robust information
that customers can report on for real-time decision-making. Release 3.4 also
allows EZ-Control users to capture and save their printer contract information
for use in determining estimated usage for scheduling. These new features allow
trading partners to make more timely and cost-effective decisions throughout
the entire publication planning, paper procurement and analysis processes.
This new release of EZ-Suite continues to position the
Nextier EZ-Suite application as an industry leading supply chain management and
collaboration tool.
